Real Madrid has announced the official details of Marcelo’s farewell event

After winning both the league and the Champions League on the same weekend in May, Real Madrid’s season ended on a high note, as the team successfully defended their title in both competitions. However, I can only imagine what a roller coaster ride it must have been for their captain.

Marcelo was aware that it would be his final game for the club and that his final act would be to lift the Champions League trophy. This would bring an end to an extraordinary run of success for the Brazilian, who had been a member of the team for over a decade.

On Sunday, the club made the announcement that on Monday, at 13:00 Central European Summer Time (CEST), they would be holding a farewell event at the club’s training ground. A tribute ceremony and homage will be held in Marcelo’s honor, and he will be joined by his family and Real Madrid President Florentino Perez. After the ceremony, Marcelo will hold his final press conference as a Real Madrid player.

Since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2006, Marcelo has won a total of 25 titles, making him the player with the most accolades in the annals of Real Madrid’s long and illustrious history. On the left wing for Real Madrid’s teams for the better part of a decade, Marcelo was a reliable source of excitement and entertainment.
