Official: Bayern announce gravenberch signing

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax.

The deal reportedly cost €25million with add-ons and the midfielder has penned a 5-year-deal with the German side.

Born in 2002, Gravenberch has been on the books of Ajax since 2010 and graduated all through the age groups to make his debut in 2018 against PSV Eindhoven.

The team, which was twenty years old at the time, won the Eredivisie three times: in 2019, 2021, and 2022. On two separate occasions, he was successful in winning both the league championship and the KNVB Cup. In 2019, Gravenberch also triumphed in the competition for the Johan Cruyff Shield as well as the Super Cup.

Gravenberch: “When FC Bayern approached me about playing for them, I didn’t have to give it much thought. Players from all over the world have their sights set on playing for FC Bayern because it is one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.”

Ajax bade him farewell as he left: “Began as Ryan and finished as Gravenberch. We hope that everything works out for you!”
