After talks went well, the right back for the Black Stars signed a new two-year deal with the English Championship team.
Reading FC, a team in England’s second-tier league, has extended the contract of Ghana’s Andy Yiadom for the 2022/23 season.
The 30-year-old fullback has signed a new three-year deal to stay at Madejski Stadium until 2025. He was voted Player of the Season by Royal fans.
The official statement from the club says:
“Reading is happy to announce that Andy Yiadom, who was voted “Player of the Season” by the fans last month, has signed a new three-year deal with the club,”
“The experienced right back will now play for blue and white hoops until 2025, and the club may now have at least one player at the Fifa World Cup in Qatar when Ghana plays Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay at the end of the year.”
Yiadom moved to Reading from Barnsley in 2018. Since then, he has played 132 times for the club.
He has played 18 times for Ghana on the international stage. In January, he played for Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations.
