Hearts of Oak Board member, Vincent Sowah Odotei has rallied behind their head coach Samuel Boadu and added he will continue to remain their head coach for now.
The Rainbow Club failed to defend their league trophy and also missed out on the top four, having finished the season on the 6th position on the league log with 48 points.
The ‘Phobians’ however managed to end the campaign with a trophy after beating Bechem United last Sunday night to clinch the MTN FA Cup for the 12th league time in their history.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Akoma FM, Vincent Odotei Sowah has commended the good works of Samuel Boadu and added he is still their head coach for now. He said;
“We don’t decide the future of our coaches based on one match.”
“As I speak to you today, Samuel Boadu is our coach for now, let’s leave him to celebrate this victory and the hard work.”
“He has gone through a lot with the last few matches, today he did a master stroke, scoring two beautiful goals, let’s leave him to celebrate.”
“We will go back to the drawing board but at the moment he’s our coach.” He finished
The team will regroup for preseason very soon to begin preparations towards the new season
