Bayern Munich has set an internal deadline to find a replacement for Manuel Neuer.
Bundesliga powerhouses According to Bild, Bayern Munich has set a deadline for finding a replacement for the injured Manuel Neuer.
The legendary goalkeeper sustained an injury that will sideline him for the remainder of the season. There are also concerns that when he returns, he will not be the same.
The Bundesliga champions have set a January 6 deadline for bringing in a replacement. On this day, they travel to their training camp in Doha. They’d like to get a new goalie before they leave.
When Neuer was injured, Alexander Nubel was the obvious replacement.
The German goalkeeper is currently on loan at AS Monaco, where he has performed admirably.
Bringing the 26-year-old back to the Allianz Arena, however, is becoming increasingly difficult.
To begin, the Rekordmeister’s two-year loan agreement with the Principality club does not include a recall clause.
If they can persuade the Ligue 1 club to let Nubel return, they will have to wait for them to sign a replacement.
Nubel, on the other hand, is unsure about returning to his parent club in the middle of the season.
Nubel is also said to be concerned about what will happen when Neuer returns. He does not want to be a backup player again.
He admitted that the news had affected him.
