In order to recruit striker Joo Félix on loan for the remainder of the campaign, Chelsea and Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement.
According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, both teams have agreed to pay €11 million to bring the Portugal international to Stamford Bridge until June.
Manchester United and Arsenal, two other Premier League teams, were also interested in signing Félix. Despite the lack of a signed contract, the Blues have now won the race.
Chelsea is anticipated to conduct additional activity this month after acquiring David Fofana from Molde and international Benoît Badiashile from Monaco.
According to reports, attacking reinforcements is a top priority, especially as injury issues multiply.
