Bale, a five-time Champions League and three-time LaLiga champion with Real Madrid, was formerly regarded as one of the world’s top players.
After a meteoric ascent with Tottenham, whom he joined from Southampton when he was just 17, he moved to Madrid before coming back to Spurs on loan in 2020, where his career was ultimately ended by LAFC.
But above all, Bale will be remembered as probably the greatest player Wales has ever produced, along with being the player with the most appearances and goals scored for the Welsh national team overall.
